Patterns are a particularly important element in fashion. The company KBC specializes in this field and has been printing and designing fabrics for large fashion brands for many years. Once a year, a cloth-pattern contest takes place, in which I created several designs. The theme was “Cut Out“ and “Moths“. In order to give the impression of night insects, I worked with paper origami. Afterwards, I photographed my work and created a pattern from the pictures. KBC chose one of my designs for their competition and printed it in the factories on silk and cotton fabrics. These materials were later processed by the master students from the fashion school “Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode“, to be used for evening dresses.
